Why one opts for Indian hair?

What is virgin hair?

Virgin hair is a form of Indian human hair, which has never been coloured or permed. It is 100 percent unprocessed hairs wherein all the cuticles remain intact.

What is Remy hair?

Remy hair is a premium segment of the virgin human hair. It has a cuticle intact and run in the same direction to prevent any kind of tangling and retaining its own natural look. The majority of the hair sold in the industry is remy hair.

Remy hair comes in two forms and i.e. single drawn and double drawn.

Remy Single drawn hair is shaved off from the head of a single donor in a ponytail form. Care is taken to remove the very short hair. For example: a hair piece of 7" to 10" inches of Remy quality of single drawn has hair length of 8", 9" and 10".

Remy double drawn is the hair of finest quality with the same wave length in a piece. The hair is arranged with equal lengths. There will not be any short hair in a piece.

What is Non-Remy hair?

Non-remy hair is the most popular and commonly available form of hair. The roots and tips are mixed in non-remy hair. Tangling is the problem generally associated with this form. But it is overcome by shaving off cuticles or ends.

It is also available in single drawn and double drawn form. Single drawn is of a slightly lower quality than double drawn hair. The hair will have up to a 2" difference in the tip; that is, some hair will be up to 2" shorter than their original lengths. Double drawn hair is similar to remy double drawn wefts in that all hair are the same length.

How a term 'Bulk' differs from weft?

Bulk hair is basically loose hair used for braiding and styling one's hair with hair extensions. Wefting on the other hand is a process of sewing the hair strands across one straight line. Weft hair is used for weaving.

What is the difference between hand tied weft and machine weft ?

Hand tied weft as the name signifies is a handmade weft. They are made by tying the strands of hair around a strong weaving thread.

Machine wefts are made by hair sewing machine, which sews the strands of hair together.

Hand tied wefts are much thinner than the machine wefts as the latter has the double wefting

Is it possible to colour this hair?

Since it is l00% virgin human hair, which is not processed in any way you can colour hair. Generally it is advised to make any major colour changes after having your extensions applied. You can colour as often as you'd like.

What type of hair care products should I use?

When it comes for choosing the hair products chose the best and treat these tresses as your own.

Can I go swimming?

You may go in swimming pools and hot tubs. It is best to wash the hair right after swimming. Avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and it will lead to tangling of the hair. Never braid your hair and go in salt water. It is best to wear it down.
